Just walking distance from top of the rock. We liked breakfast and service. An incredible base for exploring New York. Thank you, would return anytime.
-
It is truly such a beautiful hotel.
-
Amazing realy enjoyed it, very good for a special treat, stayed one night felt like a celeb! Staff friendly, place lovely, beds comfy, food great.
-
Excellent service by staff who did all they could to ensure our stay was perfect.
-
I like the bar in the hotel really relaxing, we ate at the Bull & Bear one night and the food is amazing
I feel that the hotel requires a little refurb
-
Comfortable Room, Ideally Located, Helpful and Courteous Staff, Ornate Decor
Insufficient Staff at Reception in early Morning leading to line-ups
-
The hotel has a classy, classic ambiance without seeming snobby or stuffy. All of the staff members were extremely efficient and accommodating.
The hotel is showing its age just a little inside its rooms--carpet is a little old fashioned as are the bathrooms. But overall, these factors detracted very little from the hotel's elegance.
-
I liked the atmosphere & luxury of this hotel. We were welcomed & looked after but we felt that we were left alone to enjoy our stay as the staff were very discreet. My six year old niece thought the carpets in the lifts were fantastic!
-
The location was excellent and historically its a landmark
I thought all our taxes were pre paid but on the morning we left we got a bill for 549 dollars. When I checked this term was in the fine print but in future I think it should be pointed out that this is the norm for hotels in the US
-
This is a hotel with classic hotel ambiance and comfort. It is elegant and has the american perfection for service with an international touch.
The cocktail bar and the Peacock bar/restaurant had not the same style as the rest of the hotel. It was more old style than elegant.
-
What can I say, The Waldorf Astoria lives up to its reputation for quality, a special hotel with grand surroundings. Fantastic staff and the room was wonderful.
-
Everything was amazing. Rooms brilliant, helpful staff. We went to NY to get married, staying at the Waldorf made our wedding even better.
Prices very expensive for drinks, breakfast etc but obviously the choice is yours as to whether you eat and drink at the hotel. It was a shame that the ballroom was always in use which meant you couldn't really go and have a good look around this part of the hotel.
-
The beautiful environment and the friendly helpful service
The room was nothing special compared with other reputable but not so expensive hotels;Entering on the Park Ave side of the hotel, we had to carry our bags up the flight of stairs, no staff present and elevator indication wasn't very obvious
-
The Art Deco foyer and it's location. It is a landmark of Manhattan
No in-room kettle / hot drink making facilities and room service was very expensive. Whatever class of hotel it's often great to make a hot drink when you first get up or arrive back after a busy day sight-seeing or shopping ! Rooms were very basic and fairly small - quite ordinary compared to the foyer
-
I enjoyed the best all the history and tradition of elegance and luxury of the Waldorf Astoria as well as the fact that it continues to be as good as it always has been.
